That would never happen to me.

My almost 11 month old son fell out of his high chair. I'd heard horror stories of babies falling from their cribs and highchairs and NEVER thought it would happen to me and my son. Ever. I watch him, I don't leave him unattended. Ever. But it happened. And I felt like the worse mother. Ever. It happened so fast, I barely had time to even realize it. I rushed him to the emergency room and by the time we got there he was laughing and clapping his hands. Thankfully, he was a-okay and has been acting himself ever since!

  1. Unfortunately, we all have one of those stories. I made it this far with my first (3 yrs) without one of those stories but my youngest didn't reach her first birthday. I was trying put her on my back in a baby carrier. I was sure she was secure before I let go only to hear her fall to the floor (thank God we were inside on carpet not in a parking lot) and start to cry. I hyperventilated and snatched her up. I could barely stop kissing her and apologizing to examine her. She was fine - it took 5 yrs off of my life.

  2. I don't have kids, but I used to be a nanny, and I had a similar experience with one little 2-yr-old girl I was taking care of. She feel right out of her high chair and I don't even know how. I was right next to her and she was strapped in. It was just like it was supposed to happen. She was hardly crying- she was a tough kid- but I was completely devastated. I thought her parents would kill me once they saw the humungo bruise on her forehead.

But anyways, thanks for following me back. I love your blog...Can't wait to keep reading :]
